It’s Always Time for Tee in Victoria!
For the moderate golfer, this itinerary offers a taste of Victoria and Vancouver Island’s highlight activities incorporating three of the island’s beautiful golf courses over three days.
Day 1:
Rise and shine with a gourmet breakfast in bed at your luxurious hotel room overlooking Victoria’s beautiful Inner or Outer Harbour.
Meet your group for an unforgettable three hour whale-watching journey on a high speed zodiac or larger covered boat. As you cruise up the scenic West Coast of the island or towards the San Juan Islands there is the opportunity to see an abundance of amazing wildlife. With three resident pods or families of Orca (killer) whales with 30 to 40 whales per pod that live in the waters around Victoria, sightings are frequent. No other spectacle of nature compares to the awe-inspiring sight of a massive killer whale breaching out of the deep blue water within only 100 meters from your boat. During this exhilarating excursion you may also see bald eagles feeding on salmon; stellar sea lions playing in the surf; harbour seals feasting on sea urchins; elephant seals basking in the sun at Race Rocks or hear the bark of the migrating California sea lions as they make their way North from San Francisco. At the end of this journey your mind will be filled with wonderful West Coast memories and your appetite will be large after spending three hours in the fresh ocean air.
From exhilaration to relaxation, it’s time for Afternoon Tea. You can raise a cup at a number of fashionable hotels, a cosy parloursized tea spot tucked away in a quiet neighborhood or out in the countryside. This famous ritual typically includes such delicacies as English crumpets or scones, fresh berries and Devon cream, finger sandwiches and pastries. Bon Appetit!
An afternoon team building tee off begins at Bear Mountain Resort, a golf course designed by Jack & Steve Nicklaus.
From Bear Mountain, travel to the Milky Way with canapés and dinner under the stars at the Centre of the Universe. Take in the views of Victoria as the sun sets before gazing at the cosmos from the observation deck. If you wish, you can travel the constellations in the Sundome Platnetarium or work the controls of the 1.8 Plaskett Telescope.
Day 2:
Time to sleep in before enjoying a hearty West Coast style breakfast, which is sure to fuel your appetite for the active day ahead.
Tee off at Olympic View Golf Course where you will enjoy breathtaking views in a natural park-like setting during your morning round of golf. The course has been ranked top 35 in Canada and features a challenging course around 12 lakes and 2 waterfalls.
From golf to gardens, rise above Victoria on a flightseeing tour of Victoria and the Saanich Peninsula. Upon your descent into Todd Inlet you will get a magnificent bird’s eye view of the world famous Butchart Gardens. Tour the gardens on a guided or self-guided tour before enjoying a late lunch with a group gourmet picnic on the green between the Rose & Italian gardens.
Enjoy the scenery of the Saanich Inlet during a short ferry ride to Mill Bay, followed by a scenic drive up Vancouver Island.
Upon arrival at your beachfront resort in Parksville, change into something comfortable and causal for a Bonfire Beach BBQ. Afterwards, take a late night soak in the hot tub before falling asleep in your luxurious suite listening to the sound of the waves.
Day 3:
After enjoying a Taste of Vancouver Island Breakfast Buffet, you will continue on the Oceanside scenic route to the Comox Valley. Along the way, experience more of Vancouver Island’s splendor with views of snowcapped mountains, West Coast rainforests and blue expanses of the Pacific Ocean.
Nestled between the Comox Glacier and the Strait of Georgia sits Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community – a championship Platinum rated 18-hole golf course. For the rest of the day your group will undertake one of the most unique opportunities in North America, "The Corporate Challenge". In one unforgettable destination, test your golf skills in Ryder Cup Golf matches and experience the thrill of world class sailing aboard the America’s Cup Yachts!
After a rewarding day on the green and at sea, you will enjoy a finale dinner at Crown Isle's Clubhouse, which was recently ranked the "Best Clubhouse in Western Canada" by Golf Course Ranking Magazine.
