Award for MacGillivray & Associates Destination and Event Management
MacGillivray & Associates has been presented with a Canadian Event Industry Award for “Best Opening Event” for the Opening of the Shaw Tower in downtown Vancouver.  MacGillivray & Associates produced a signature event that conveyed big style for communications & entertainment giant, Shaw.  The opening included a media launch of Shaw's new digital phone service, a huge open house event for 600 guests including media celebrities and politicians, a Board Meeting and an Annual General Meeting - all held in the new tower in a 28 hour period.  That, combined with the unique décor, spectacular lighting effects and a dazzling fireworks finale to celebrate the opening of Shaw Tower, spelled a big success for Shaw and for MacGillivray. Submissions were judged on a range of factors such as originality, creativity, logistical expertise, the ability to overcome challenges and the successful achievement of objectives.
