Types of Cider
Traditional Cider
Traditional cider is light, dry, effervescent and appeals to true cider connoisseurs.
House Cider
House cider is a lighter, sweeter version of traditional cider, but still very dry.
Scrumpy
If you are a scotch drinker, try this drink; scrumpy is strong, sharp and rich in flavour. Crabapples are fermented without sugar to create this type of cider. Once you acquire a taste for scrumpy, nothing else will do! In old England, scrumpy was a cider made by farm workers who stole (or scrumped) apples from the orchard.
Cyser
With its sweet and rich taste, cyser is a favourite of sherry drinkers and an excellent aperitif or dessert drink. Cyser is a traditional blend of pure vintage apple juice and wildflower honey, combined in a slow fermentation process that dates back to Viking days.
Berry Cider
Berry cider is a refreshing blend of apple cider and the unfermented juices of a blend of BC berries and fruits. It is popular among those who enjoy spritzers or lighter alcoholic beverages.
Somerset Cider
Somerset cider is the English version of champagne-style cider: dry and sparkling. It is a specialty cider aged for more than a year to become completely dry and is perfect for a special occasion.
