Beautyberry (Callicarpa spp.)
The beautyberry is a deciduous shrub named for the pretty mauve to purple-blue berries that cover its branches. It is a delicate plant that likes sun and average soil and moisture conditions. It grows in general perennial gardens and is easily maintained.

Christmas Rose (Helleborus niger)
White to pale pink flowers and deep green leaves characterize the Christmas rose. It grows in a winter garden and is easy to propagate by seedlings. The Christmas rose prefers shade and relatively dry conditions.

Harry Lauder’s Walking Stick (Corylus avellana ‘contorta’)
A deciduous shrub, Harry Lauder’s Walking Stick is named for its unique, contorted branches. Harry Lauder’s Walking Stick adds interest to a winter garden and requires very little care.
