Services of the Travel Trade Department include:

  • Itinerary Development — Tourism Victoria staff can assist with the planning of classic and customized itineraries for: FIT packages, group programs, incentive movements, special interest or technical tours. Sample itineraries are available featuring Victoria City Highlights, Native Culture Tours, Outdoor Adventure programmes and more. Let us help with ideas for an itinerary to meet your needs.


  • Lead Service — Let us help you make direct contacts with our membership of over 900. Whether you require general information about: hotels and activities, net rates, researching hotel availability or full receptive hotel operator proposals, we can assist you in reaching local suppliers through leads to Tourism Victoria members based on your requirements. Please click here to email your specific requests and local suppliers will respond directly to you.

  • Educational Travel, Arts and Culture Planning — We can help you program education and cultural activities and put you in touch with group sales and ticketing agents for performing and visual arts events as well as educational tour coordinators. Extensive information is available about educational travel opportunities, from marine eco-tourism, horticulture and gardening experiences to culinary tours featuring our famous West Coast cuisine, wineries and breweries.

  • Familiarization Tours — Get to know us. We can help coordinate a familiarization tour so that your own staff or your preferred clients can personally experience the old-world charm that is uniquely Victoria. Our staff can coordinate local arrangements that may include accommodations, sightseeing and group services.

  • Destination Information — A wide variety of reference and promotional materials are available to support your planning efforts. LINK

  • Site Visits — We are happy to arrange site visits to local hotels and attractions. Two weeks advance notice is appreciated.


  • New Product Bulletin — Produced quarterly, New Product Bulletins are designed to give you the latest information about member hotels, restaurants, attractions and events in Victoria and around the Islands.

  • Motorcoach Update — An annual compendium of city rules and regulations regarding tour buses including parking, streets and motorcoach servicing is available in brochure format or view online.
