Bastion Square (1843)
The original site of Fort Victoria, established in 1843 by the Hudson's Bay Company, is now known as the department store, The Bay. Outdoor restaurants, water views, art galleries and various shops abound. |

Fort Rodd Hill (1895) and Fisgard Lighthouse (1860)National Historic Sites of Canada
Located at the ocean, 25 minutes from downtown Victoria, this park )originally a coastal defence installation) is the oldest lighthouse on the Pacific Coast. Take in fantastic views, trails, wildlife viewing, picnic sites and tours. The site is open daily during the summer and on weekends during the winter. |
Butchart Gardens (1904)
Started in 1904 by Jennie Butchart, the beautiful gardens now cover over fifty acres and contain countless varieties of plants and flowers. |

Market Square (1898)
A popular downtown collection of shops and restaurants are housed, courtyard-style, in a series of historic buildings. |
Ross Bay Cemetery
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean and just 10 minutes from the Inner Harbour, this historic cemetery is the final resting place for many famous Victoria residents. Try a ghost tour or other historical tours of this cemetery. |

Sooke Regional Museum
Located in Sooke, 40 minutes from Victoria, this museum features exhibitions about Native history, early settlers, the Gold Rush, logging, farming and fishing. Visit the on-site gift shop and art gallery. |
Craigdarroch Castle (1889)
A castle built by BC's first millionaire, Robert Dunsmuir, is located five minutes from the Inner Harbour. |

Point Ellice House (1867)
This elaborate heritage home has flower and vegetable gardens and afternoon tea is served during the summer season. |
Helmcken House (1852)
Carr House (1860s), Craigflower Manor and Schoolhouse (1856) Take tours of a pioneer doctor's home, the birthplace of one of Canada's foremost artists and a pioneer era schoolhouse. |
