Sample Itineraries

One of Victoria's strengths as a tourist destination is its versatility. Visitors can mix and match their holiday options; take short day trips or use the city as a convenient base for longer explorations. When visiting for a few days, many day tours in Victoria fill the hours with breathtaking scenery. Hiking trails and walking routes abound and are easily accessible, even on a day-trip to the area. Lush gardens warrant exploring and coastal adventures, like whale watching, can be undertaken in an afternoon.

Extended stays on the Island provide even more time to soak up the glories of  the West Coast. Travelling to the Island's central region, the Gulf Islands or to the BC mainland presents yet more possibilities. Fishing, beachcombing, sailing and hiking opportunities accompany the joys of discovering tiny hamlets, shopping for arts and crafts, learning about First Nations carving and so much more. The longer the visit, the more there is to do!

Every holiday teaches something and Victoria provides educational experiences for every passion and palate. Culinary tours, birdwatching, marine ecology tours and horticulture lessons teach while they entertain. Visits to local brewhouses, wineries, vineyards and even a cidery all delight the senses and impart knowledge. Making a holiday special and thought-provoking is yet another of Victoria's many talents.
