Summer continues to heat up here in Victoria and with it come more hot events around the city!
One event that is sure to rock the month of July is the First Annual Victoria International Busker Festival. This is the second international festival to debut in Victoria in 2011 and it is exciting to see the community support the festival has secured, including the Hotel Association of Greater Victoria serving as Presenting Sponsor. The events will begin on July 15 and continue for ten full days, ending on July 24. Forgive my early excitement, I know it is still a month away, but time has a way of flying by us does it not?
The First Annual Victoria International Busker Festival program is available for everyone to pick up as of June 15. The program has all the juicy details, including the event vitals, the attending performers and the schedule of events, so there is no excuse for not being prepared! This awesome publication is available at the Bay Centre (1st floor kiosk) for two dollars, with partial proceeds going to the Victoria Youth Clinic.
There are some amazing performers coming to town to dazzle and entertain audiences of every age. Did I mention the entertainment program will be huge? There are going to be six stages around the downtown area including The Tourism Victoria Stage which will be located on The Fairmont Empress Lawns.
The highlights as posted on the festival's website are:
- Victor Rubilar (Sweden) – Four time Guinness World Record holder for juggling
