Here, you'll find lots of fun activities for kids to do, including crafts, balloon twisting, a free photo booth and music by VINYL WAVE. Rumour has it that the Easter Bunny himself may even make an appearance.

Tip: if you're planning on cooking your own Easter dinner from scratch, the Victoria Public Market is your one-stop-shop for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

It wouldn't be Easter without chocolate! Visit Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for a caramel apple or a slice of their fresh, homemade fudge, or head across Government Street for a chocolate dipped ice cream cone at Chocolats Favoris.

If you prefer fluffy animals to sea creatures, visit the Beacon Hill Children's Farm in Beacon Hill Parkthis weekend. The farm is home to lots of cool creatures like alpacas and roaming peacocks, and also has a petting area where you can hang out with their friendly family of goats.

7. Brunch Like a Local

Named the brunch capital of Canada by the Food Network, Victoria's year-round brunch culture is heightened only by one occasion: Easter Sunday. There are a ton of unique brunch spots around town, many of which use exclusively fresh and locally-sourced ingredients.

Unless you've got the stomach capacity of a Canadian moose, you'll likely need to narrow it down, so try the Marina Restaurant in Oak Bay for a sophisticated brunch overlooking the marina, or John's Place downtown for a classic brunch in a quirky and fun environment.

Pro tip: Take a Victoria Harbour Ferry over to AURA or Spinnakers to enjoy an Easter brunch with a waterfront view over the Inner Harbour!

Oak Bay goes all-out for their Annual Easter Celebration, and this year is no different. Hit up the Avenue for a fun-filled day of face painting, candy, treats, the Easter Bunny, candy scrambles and more. There will also be a fire truck and a police car to learn about and explore!

Entrance to the event is free, but you can also donate a non-perishable food item or monetary donation to The Mustard Seed.

Tip: Keep an eye out for giant Easter eggs along the Avenue!

9. Easter Eggspress at the BC Forest Discovery Centre

This event has been a popular spring tradition for over ten years, and it's clear why. Families can explore the grounds, learn about the history of logging and preserving forests in BC, and take part in a fun scavenger hunt at the same time.

Tip: Kids will receive a goodie bag of Easter treats after completing the hunt.

10. Go All-out Easter at Merridale Ciderworks

Venture up island to scenic Cobble Hill (about an hour north of Victoria) and you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of rolling farmland and fragrant orchards. It's a spectacular sight, made even better with cider pairings from Merridale Ciderworks.

This Easter, bring the family to the cidery for a special Easter Brunch in the bistro and take part in their annual Easter scavenger hunt. There will be fun activities and lots of freshly-baked goods on site for all to enjoy.
