Victoria Day

Victoria Day ParadeCelebrated every year on the last Monday before May 25, Victoria Day is a Canadian public holiday in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday. For many, the date also informally marks the beginning of the summer season.

As the Island Farms Victoria Day Parade is the largest parade of the year in Victoria, there is no better place to spend your Victoria Day holiday than here!

Previous years parades have featured approximately 150 parade entries - including Canadian and American marching bands, musical floats, cultural entries and festive clowns - and attracted tens of thousands of attendees.

The parade begins at 9 a.m. on Victoria Day every year and lasts for approximately three hours. The route begins at Mayfair Shopping Centre and winds its way along Douglas Street, before ending at Humboldt Street.

Parade Road Closures

Douglas Street from Finlayson to Belleville Streets will be closed to all north/south traffic from 8 a.m. until approximately 1:15 p.m. Please do not park along the parade route.
