Songhees First Nation in partnership with Eagle Wing Tours invites you to join us on an exciting First Nations Cultural tour that includes whale and wildlife viewing. This tour encompasses the waters south and east of Victoria and includes islands belonging to the Songhees Nation. These islands have been inhabited by their members for over 5000 years of recorded history. One of the last members of the Songhees Nation to live on the islands is Elder Joan Morris (Sellemah), raised by her grandparents and great grandparents, who is allowing us to bring their and the islands' history to life through this tour. Sellemah longs to see the traditional gardens and orchards she remembers at Tl'chés restored, as well as her people's relationship with their environment, for healthier and more sustainable ways of life.

Dates (Wednesdays):

  • June 22
  • July 6 and 20
  • August 3, 17 and 31
  • September 14 and 28
  • October 12

This tour operates with a minimum of 6 people and additional dates can be arranged based on our minimum. Departs Fisherman's Wharf Victoria at 9:00 am and  approximate return time 2:00 pm.
