Chinatown Walks have been bringing the history and culture of Canada’s oldest Chinatown to life since 1999. These popular walking tours are scheduled year-round. From June 1 through August 31 they take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning at 10:30 am. During the rest of the year they are every Saturday at 10:30 am. Tours take about 90 minutes and consist of a leisurely walk with stops to visit a Chinese temple, sample the food, look at the architecture, historic sites, colourful shops, narrow alleys and secluded courtyards. Meet the guide outside Starbucks Coffee, 1689 Government Street at the corner of Fisgard, in the heart of Chinatown about 15 minutes before the tour. No reservations are needed and you may purchase tickets directly from the guide. Adults are $15, students and seniors $13. Private tours by request.
