Matheson Lake Regional Park

Matheson Lake PK RD Metchosin BC .

A thirty-minute drive from Victoria, Metchosin’s Matheson Lake boasts excellent fishing (a great spot to fish for Rainbow Trout) and hiking opportunities. A 3.8km loop trail encircles the lake while Matheson Lake’s north side features a number of additional trails and boardwalks, all of which connect with the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. A great spot for a summer dip, the 156 hectare park is also a local favourite for picnicking on the sand beach or nestled on one of the rocky outcroppings.
