Point Ellice House was built in 1861. Three generations of the O`Reilly family lived there from 1867-1975. As a historic house museum, it is internationally recognized for its display of 1890-1920 era décor, in its original setting, where the artifacts were used daily by the family. (Tours of the house and gardens, $6 for adults, $3 children ages 6-12, $4 students, all plus tax.)
Afternoon tea is served 11 – 3 by reservation. ($27 plus tax, which includes a tour of the House.)
O`Reillys` Restaurant is open 9 to 11 for breakfast and 11 to 4 for lunch. On-site baking features signature scones, and special menu items showcase fresh local produce. Delicious coffee!
