St. Ann's Academy National Historic Site-just steps from downtown Victoria but miles away from ordinary! Built between 1871 and 1910 as a school and convent by the sisters of St. Ann, St. Ann's Academy national Historic site is an enduring legacy of Women's and Francophone History in Victoria. The 6.25 acres of grounds are open to the public dawn to dusk and feature bilingual outdoor interpretive signs. Now provincially owned, the restored building and 6.25 acres of grounds awaits your visit!

  • Description: Looking for a unique venue for your next meeting or reception? St. Ann's 1910 Auditorium seats 200 in a theatre-like setting with original stain glass windows and some audio/visual equipment available. Plan a garden party for 150 in the Novitiate Garden, or a more intimate cocktail-style reception for 60 in the historic parlour and foyer. The Academy Green can accommodate up to 800 for a tented reception; it is also perfect for tented trade show or festival. If you are planning a wedding, the restored 1858 interfaith chapel with original stain glass and 23 karat gold decoration provides an intimate setting for up to 150 guests.
