Is there wifi available in the facility? 

Complimentary basic wifi is available throughout the Victoria Conference Centre.  Basic wifi is suitable for checking emails and light web browsing.  Additional wifi packages are available for purchase.

Where do I park for my event? 

Parking is available onsite with entry off Douglas St into the parkade. There are 305 parking spaces on 2 underground levels, parking is subject to availability and operated by Robbins Parking Service Ltd.  Vehicle height restriction is 6’2” (1.88 m).  Rates start at $1.75 per 30 minutes up to a daily maximum of $18 and are subject to change.

Is the Victoria Conference Centre fully accessible? 

Both levels of the Victoria Conference Centre are fully accessible. Wheelchair accessible environment ensures ease and enjoyment of all activities in and around the Victoria Conference Centre. For more information see Accessibility

What is your sustainability program? 

The VCC is an eco-friendly, energy efficient facility.  It has been certified as a BOMA BEST building and have been accredited the Platinum level, recognizing excellence in environmental performance and management of buildings. For more information see Sustainability

How do I get to the Victoria Conference Centre? How far is the airport? 

We are located at 720 Douglas St. in downtown Victoria just steps from the beautiful inner harbour. The Swartz Bay BC Ferries Terminal and Victoria International Airport (YYJ) are approximately 30 minutes from downtown.  For more information on transportation options to Victoria please visit our Transportation page.

What is your policy on bringing animals into the Victoria Conference Centre? 

Certified service animals are the only animals permitted without prior authorization.

Do you offer gender inclusive washrooms? 

Yes, we have the flexibility to offer gender inclusive washrooms. For a complete washroom inventory and signage options please speak to your Event Manager.

Is there a box office at the venue where I can purchase tickets?

We do not have a box office and therefore do not sell tickets to events being held in our facility.

How do I contact Lost and Found?

To inquire about an item, please call our Client Services Team at 250-361-1011, with the date you lost or found the item, a description of the item and your contact information.  Lost and Found items will be recorded and held for a period of 90 days. 

Can I use the Victoria Conference Centre photos to promote my event? 

If you would like to access photos for promotional materials or your conference website please visit our VCC photo gallery or register for the online image bank provided by Destination Greater Victoria.

Do you have a business centre? 

No, however, we can provide for small last-minute print jobs and faxing when necessary.  Please speak with your Event Manager for more information.

Can we provide our own food and beverage for our event and/ booth? 

The Fairmont Empress is the exclusive food & beverage provider for the Victoria Conference Centre & Crystal Garden. For banquet menus, please see Food & Beverage

Food sampling in tradeshows is generally not permitted. Exceptions may be granted for tradeshows or conventions that are directly related to the food & beverage industry. Approval must be received from your Event Manager and an authorization form will be supplied for exhibitors to complete following approval.

I’m an exhibitor, how do I order services?

Information is included in your Exhibitor Manual. Please contact your show services provider for assistance.

I’m an exhibitor, how do I arrange shipments? 

Exhibitors are encouraged to ship via the designated freight handler, who will bring all materials onsite on move-in day.  If you choose an alternate shipper/ courier, please ensure materials are delivered on move-in day only.  Shipments must include:

  • Conference Name & Dates
  • Exhibiting Company Name and Booth/ Table Number
  • Exhibiting Company Contact Person Name & Telephone Number 

Advance shipments will not be accepted and will be redirected to the designated display or shipping supplier.

At the end of an exhibitor move-out, all freight must be removed from the tradeshow floor. If an exhibitor is not using the designated freight handler for the show, all alternate shippers/couriers must be instructed to pick-up materials the same day. Materials left after the scheduled move-out time will be redirected, at the expense of the exhibitor, to the designated freight or display supplier.

Where are your Loading Facilities and do you have any other loading requirements? 

Victoria Conference Centre:

  • The loading dock is located in the rear service yard, at the NW corner of the Victoria Conference Centre and accessed via Humboldt St. west of Douglas St. (load-in map). It can accommodate a semi-trailer rig with a maximum vehicle/trailer height of 4.0m (13’4”) and 16m (53’) in length.
  • Access to the rear service yard is available between 7:00am – 7:30pm daily. For load in/outs between 6:00am-7:00am and 7:30pm-11:00pm advance arrangements must be made with your Event Manager. There is no access between 11:00pm-6:00am.  Use of the loading dock must be arranged through an Event Manager.

Crystal Garden:

  • There are three loading bays which are accessed via Humboldt St., off of Blanshard St. (load-in map).  
  • Maximum truck length for each bay is 6.4m long with wheelbase of 2.6m wide and load capacity of 5 tons. Loading bay door openings are 7’11.5” h x 7’11.5” w.  
  • There are 2 freight elevators located at loading bays 1 & 2, both of which provide service to the upper and lower levels of Crystal Garden.  The doors leading from the loading dock onto the show floors on the upper and lower levels measure 4’ w x 7’ h.  
  • Loading and unloading at Crystal Garden is restricted to between 7:00am and 10:00pm daily and strictly enforced.
