Ferries & Boats to Victoria BC

Victoria is well-connected by sea to mainland British Columbia and Washington State by vehicle ferries, passenger ferries and high-speed catamarans. Each day, dozens of ferries cross the straits, granting breathtaking views of the rocky coastline, forested islands, inlets and marine wildlife.

Ferry from British Columbia's mainland and Vancouver to Victoria

BC Ferries connects Vancouver to Victoria by ferry. The large network of vehicle ferries connects Vancouver Island, British Columbia's mainland and smaller islands, like the Gulf Islands. The main route from Vancouver departs at Tsawwassen Terminal and arrives at Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, located 30 minutes from downtown Victoria. Alternatively, join Prince of Whales on a unique trip from Vancouver to Victoria's Inner Harbour with a high chance of seeing whales and other marine wildlife from their passenger-only whale watching boat.

Ferry from Port Angeles and Seattle to Victoria

Getting to Victoria from Seattle, Port Angeles or Washington State by ferry is easy! Explore this walkable city and take the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to downtown Victoria. Other options include taking the MV Coho, a vehicle ferry operated by the Black Ball Ferry Line, from Port Angeles to Victoria's Inner Harbour or the Washington State Ferry from Anacortes to Sidney, located a 25 minute drive north of Victoria.
