Posted on November 4, 2020

As the seasons change, there's a notable shift in atmosphere as the reality of cozying up and hunkering down for the winter sets in. This year more than ever, there’s a desire to seek out safe activities to fill our cups and leave us nourished in mind and body. Read on for activities around Greater Victoria that you can safely participate in this year.

Please note that all businesses mentioned have taken the necessary steps to adapt their business to safely serve you during this time. Please check directly with the business you wish to visit for their COVID-19 safety protocols.

Indulge in Delights

This winter, allow yourself time to unwind and recharge during a spa treatment at The Spa Magnolia or a soak in the Oak Bay Beach Hotel’s heated mineral pools. Alternatively, opt to indulge in the simple delights of a perfectly prepared pastry from The Dutch Bakery, or an expertly brewed coffee from Hey Happy. This year embrace moments of self-care big and small. We’re told finding pleasure in the every day is the secret to living a joyful life.

Forest Bathing

If you haven’t heard of forest bathing, now is the perfect time to get acquainted. The practice of forest bathing is rooted in forest therapy; the natural medicine of simply being in the forest. While the concept originated in Japan, The Natural Connection and Mystical Rainforest Tours both offer guided forest bathing experiences right here on the island.
