Canadian Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and many of Victoria’s finest restaurants and markets will be celebrating the harvest season with their own take on Thanksgiving classics. From traditional dinners to inventive brunches and the best pies in town, here are a few options for celebrating Thanksgiving in Victoria.

THE COURTNEY ROOM

Join The Courtney Room on October 11 & 12 for a three-course holiday menu crafted by The Courtney Room’s talented chefs in celebration of the season. Reservations are strongly recommended so be sure to make a reservation in advance.

HOTEL GRAND PACIFIC

Let the Hotel Grand Pacific do the cooking this year and feast without a fuss. The Pacific Restaurant will be serving a savoury three-course Thanksgiving menu on October 11 & 12. Reservations are limited and required.

IRISH TIMES PUB

Head over to the Irish Times Pub over this holiday weekend for a casual Thanksgiving meal. Located in a historic bank building, the Irish Times is a perfect place to take in a bit of old Victorian charm while also enjoying their over 40 beer taps and live music every night! They will be serving turkey sandwiches and pumpkin pie.

WHITE HEATHER TEA ROOM

Looking for something other than a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving? The White Heather Tea Room in Oak Bay is offering their Thanksgiving Tea on October 9 & 10. Full of holiday-inspired scones, pastries, savoury tea sandwiches and sweets, this afternoon tea is a unique and very Victoria way to spend your Thanksgiving.

FAIRMONT EMPRESS

Give thanks in style at the Fairmont Empress. They’ll be serving a three-course, Thanksgiving dinner with roasted turkey as the centrepiece that blends the traditional with the modern. The dinner service will be available Friday, October 9, Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Q at the Empress. They will also be offering ready to serve or roast, Turkey-To-Go on October 11 & 12. Ordering and reserving in advance is strongly recommended.

BRENTWOOD BAY RESORT & SPA

Tucked in a forest grove on the shores of Tod Inlet, the Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa will make you feel miles away from it all, even though it’s just a 25-minute drive from downtown Victoria and three kilometres from The Butchart Gardens. This Thanksgiving, enjoy a three-course dinner with all the fixings sourced around seasonal fare available on the Saanich Peninsula (kids can order a smaller version of this for a reduced price). On October 11, join the Oak Bay Beach Hotel for a delightful holiday dining experience with Executive Chef Kreg Graham as you enjoy this regionally sourced menu, complete with wine pairings. Reservations are required.

The Sticky Wicket Pub & Restaurant will be offering a full, three-course turkey dinner for dine-in or takeout on October 10, 11 and 12. Buy each course individually, or order the three-course meal for four as take out.

Victoria Harbour House will be offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner on October 11 & 12. You’ll have your choice between turkey, steak or salmon with a delicious starter and dessert. Reserve your spot in advance here.

Just because you might be away from home this Thanksgiving doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a home-cooked meal.
