    Come experience a holiday jazz celebration with Attila Fias and his quartet as they play his new, imaginative renditions of cherished Christmas classics, fresh versions of favourite jazz standards and Attila’s own electrifying compositions, including the evocative ‘Portraits of Canada’ pieces. The group will be creating a magical, musical, holiday ambience for you to be immersed in… this evening promises to be enchanting and thrilling!
    Attila is pleased to be joined by the deeply musical and versatile Toronto-based drummer Richard Brisco, as well as the incredible Miguelito Valdes from the Naden Band, and the wonderful bassist Louis Rudner, all of whom add their unique voices and musical instincts to the blend.
    To make the concert even better, exciting and captivating guest vocalist Stephanie Greaves will join the band for a few songs, adding an extra layer of fun. This is a show you don’t want to miss!

    About Attila:
    Attila Fias is an award-winning accomplished pianist, arranger and composer who is comfortable in many genres and many settings. The Hungarian-born, Toronto-raised musician now proudly calls Victoria home, and has been playing at Hermann’s for over 20 years. He has recorded over 100 albums in a multitude of genres and has several gold and platinum recordings to his name. He has played all around the world, with jazz groups, orchestras, big bands, world music ensembles and more.

    Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and the Esquimalt Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
