Enjoy the warm atmosphere of the Hotel Grand Pacific’s Courtyoard Cafe surrounded by a collection of giclee prints of the works of Maureen Ness. Brought to you by Artishow Victoria.
Her oil paintings are her stories inspired by the west coast of Vancouver Island. Maureen Ness began oil painting at the young age of eight and spent most of her life developing her interest in art. During the past sixty years she has studied with many different instructors but at the end of the day she confess to be a self-taught artist.
Maureen has a passion for the beauty of nature and protection of our natural environment. She spends a lot of her time at these locations taking photos and fueling inspiration. Her soul then speaks of this beauty through paintings created in her studio.
Maureen’s paintings are her inner voice to share with others. She is inspired and motivated by the spectacular waves, beaches, rocks, skies and trees that she sees.

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and the Esquimalt Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
