Tea, Breath & Chi – W̱MÍYEŦEN Nature Sanctuary
Reishi Mushroom Tea, Daoist Breathing and Standing Dissolving Meditation
In the lap of mother nature, we’ll sit, settle & sip a local variety of Ganoderma Oregonense mushroom. For millenia, “Reishi” has been known in Asia for its mystical folklore and renowned for its potent health benefits in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Daoist Breathing is a natural breathing and can be done 24 hours a day. We’ll learn to feel deeper layers of the body & soften places of holding – gently opening to a comfortably, slow & soft ebb and flow; into smooth and seamless circular breath.
Without force or strain the aim is to soften our breath akin to babies- progressively breathing into our lower, middle, upper belly, sides, kidneys, and upper back like a cyclinder – allowing for an internal organ massage and optimal function of fluid & connective tissue – fueling a free flow of nourishing life force throughout the body and mind.
“Zhan Zhuang” is a neutral standing posture that allows ease of access to the deeper states mind & inner awareness one aims to access through qigong & meditation through the nature of it’s simplicity.
“Ice to water, water to mist” we hold space in our physical body to feel, soften and “dissolve” that which is not flowing in our physical and energetic bodies – downward and outward. It is an allowing in what calls out to your feeling awarenss that is asking to let go.
This class is geared towards balancing both Yin & Yang while taking the Yin path of water to your arrival in each moment.
Guided Nature Kindship Walk (Optional): Following the class, we invite you to join a guided Nature Kinship Walk (30 minutes). Come walk the streamside trails and immerse yourself in the tranquil atmostphere of this special property.
