Join us at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum on Sunday, April 21st from 1-5PM, for an afternoon workshop on the art of bookbinding. Joan Byers is a member of the Canadian Bookbinders & Book Artists Guild and has been teaching this venerable craft for more than two decades. During the workshop, Ms. Byers will cover the basics of traditional bookbinding and will also discuss more advanced techniques. Participants will make a small, sewn, multi-signature, cloth covered book using methods employed during the Victorian era. Workshop supplies and tools as well as refreshments are included in the $65 fee.

Tickets are only available online at http://tinyurl.com/2puk36na and are $65 per person. You must book in advance to reserve your space. All proceeds support the volunteer-based Ross Bay Villa Society, which owns and operates our restored historic home, built in 1865.

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and the Esquimalt Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
