Celebrate World Oceans Day on the beaches of Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse NHS.

For the fourth consecutive year, come join us for a full day of engaging ocean-themed programming, hosted by Parks Canada interpreters, the Southern Resident Killer Whale outreach team, and our many esteemed partners including Ocean Wise, Special Bird Service, Ocean Networks Canada, and Vancouver Island Trail Association.

The waters around Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites are home to a diverse array of marine species. Canada’s network of protected areas plays an important role in protecting and restoring healthy, resilient ecosystems which contribute to the recovery of species at risk.

Drop-in programs, information booths and games will be offered.

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and Xwsepsum Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
