Gurmesh Sidhu is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Moment Energy, a clean tech startup that provides clean, affordable and reliable energy storage by repurposing retired electric vehicle batteries. Gurmesh's role is to commercialize the product and ensure its suitability in various use cases. Gurmesh and his team have worked toward being the best company for commercializing second-life energy storage systems in North America and in 2021, Moment Energy was awarded Canada's Top Impact Startup at Spring Activator’s National Impact Investor Challenge. Gurmesh's degree in engineering and experience leading SFU's EV team have played a key role in his success.
