Beth Potter
President & CEO, Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO)
As the President & CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario, Beth fosters collaboration between government and tourism businesses on policy issues that affect the industry. Beth has contributed to the growth of the tourism industry in Ontario for the past 25 years. She has spent time in the attractions, recreational, and retail sectors. A respected leader, she has been instrumental in raising the level of recognition of the tourism industry as an economic driver with all stakeholders.
She actively works with elected officials at all levels of government to enact or amend policy for the betterment of the tourism industry. Most recently, Beth has ensured Ontario's place in the global conversation on tourism policy, including climate change and sustainable tourism, by joining forces with the World Travel & Tourism Council. TIAO is currently the only tourism industry association in Canada that is a member of the WTTC.
