Brad Harrison
Chair, Adventure Tourism Coalition of BC
Brad has extensive experience in the adventure tourism industry. He is currently chair of the Adventure Tourism Coalition, an organization that includes 19, diverse, province-wide adventure tourism sectors. Brad is the Executive Director of the Backcountry Lodges of BC Association.
Brad spent 5 years as a faculty member in the Faculty of Adventure, Culinary and Tourism at Thompson Rivers University. He owned, operated and guided clients at Golden Alpine Holidays, a group of 3 backcountry Lodges for over 25 years. Currently, he owns and operates Colwest Alpine Adventures, offering mountaineering camps in remote settings, avalanche skills training and ski touring adventures.
Brad has served on numerous boards and committees for years, currently sitting on the Minister of Tourism’s Engagement Council, and the Ministry of Forestry, Natural Resource Operation and Rural Development’s Forest and Range Practices Advisory Council. Previously he served on the BOD’s of TIABC, the CAA, the WTABC amongst others.
