Nicole Vaugeois, a speaker at Impact 2020 in Victoria, BC

Nicole Vaugeois is a passionate educator and active researcher in sustainable tourism. Her work centers on enabling the next generation of scholars and practitioners to understand the complexities associated to sustainable development and building capacity for university-community collaboration.She has led research teams that have developed and piloted tools on sustainable tourism and agri-tourism and she has provided policy advice at the federal and provincial level on tourism development in Canada’s rural areas.

Nicole is currently a Director for Destination BC, the BC Rural Center and she recently completed two terms as a Director of the Board for the Travel and Tourism Research Association, Canadian Chapter.
