Travel to Victoria, BC to Dine Around & Stay in Town. Victoria’s most mouth-watering dining event of the year took place from February 21 to March 9, 2008. Victoria boasts the second highest number of restaurants per capita in North America. 60 local restaurants participated in 2008.
Tourism Victoria and the Victoria branch of the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) invite you come back and attend the sixth annual Dine Around and Stay in Town event in 2009.
Participating restaurants offere three-course menus for $15.00 CDN, $25.00 CDN, or $35.00 CDN per person and are all paired with BC VQA wine suggestions. To make a good thing even better, some of Victoria's hotels and accommodations feature rates of $69.00 CDN, $79.00 CDN, $99.00 CDN, and $129.00 CDN.

Dine Around And Stay In Town Times Colonist/CHEK News Gala Launch
This event took place at the Fairmont Empress on Tuesday, February 19, from 5 - 7 pm. There were a number of Dine Around participating restaurants offering 'bites' from their Dine Around menus along with some fabulous wine tasting courtesy of the BC Wine Institute.
What is a Secret Diner?
A Secret Diner is one of a dozen professional food writers who anonymously visits and reviews a different restaurant each night during the 18-day Dine Around celebration. The Secret Diner evaluates their dining experience and then the review is posted on the Tourism Victoria's website the next day (www.tourismvictoria.com/dine). To keep things fair, all the names of the participating restaurants are put in a hat and the first twenty names drawn are distributed to the Secret Diners.
