Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Presented by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association

Celebrate the Year of the Horse in Canada’s oldest Chinatown!

The main event begins at the Gates of Harmonious Interest, featuring an 8-lion performance by the Wong Sheung Kung Fu Club, a dragon dance by the Victoria Chinese Public School, and traditional Chinese dance performances.

Lions and dragons will parade along the 500 block of Fisgard Street, ending at the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association / Chinese Public School (636 Fisgard Street).

Following the parade, two lion teams from the Wong Sheung Kung Fu Club will visit local merchants who have hung offerings of lettuce and red envelopes. The lions will bless each business by performing traditional routines to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck, prosperity, and good health for the New Year. Please note that firecrackers will be used during the event.

Road Closures:
500 block of Fisgard Street: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
600 block of Fisgard Street: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM (The Fisgard Street parkade will remain open.)
Rolling road closures for the 1600–1700 block of Fisgard Street as required, at VicPD’s discretion
