Bites + Frights Ghostly Food Tour
This October, we’re taking a delicious detour into the haunted side of Victoria.
For one afternoon only, we’re teaming up with the famous Ghostly Walks company to explore the darker side of the city’s history — with a bite waiting at every stop.
You’ll meet your two guides downtown for an afternoon of ghost stories, local history and delicious food. One is a Ghostly Walks storyteller who knows all the gruesome details about what happened inside these historic buildings. The other is an Off The Eaten Track foodie guide who knows what’s coming out of their kitchens.
Eat. Drink. Summon the dead
From there, we’ll wind our way through the haunted corners of Old Town and Chinatown, stopping at five local spots along the way.
Expect eerie stories in haunted dining rooms, ghostly tales in shadowy alleys, and delicious bites chosen to match the story you’ve just heard. And if you need a little liquid courage, you’re welcome to order a drink along the way.
In between stops, your storyteller will reveal the stories that never made it onto the heritage plaques. Tales of tragedy, mystery, unexplained happenings and the spirits said to still linger in some of Victoria’s oldest buildings.
The tour ends with some chocolate from Canada’s oldest and most haunted chocolate shop.
