Bug Printmaking Workshop at Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary
This workshop is part of Invertebrate Week at Swan Lake!
Each day, guest speakers and educators will join us to deliver programs on fascinating invertebrate topics – learn more and see the full event schedule here [URL embedded]. Pre-registration is highly recommended as space is limited.
Bring your own fabric item (e.g. cotton t-shirt) or use a Swan Lake tote bag to screenprint your own fabulous insect-themed item (two designs to choose from). Take part in other crafts or enjoy our exhibits while screenprinting supplies are in use by others. This event is for 16+ (unable to accommodate younger than this).
About your facilitator: Averyl Shifflett from CICADA
The Cool Insect Community, Appreciation, and Discovery Association (CICADA) is a student-run club at UVic. We provide multiple ways to appreciate bugs through arts, nature walks and workshops, as well as a platform to connect with other bug-minded people! Whether you live and breathe insects or just want to discover crawlies are not as creepy as you thought, everyone is welcome regardless of knowledge level or background!
