Burger It Forward – Food Banks Canada Fundraiser

Presented by Canada Beef and the provincial cattle associations, Burger It Forward (BIF) is a national campaign focused on raising money for food banks across Canada. As food prices continue to rise, food banks are struggling to keep up with demand as more and more Canadians rely on them to feed their families. In an effort to fight food insecurity regionally and nationally, Canada Beef has recruited more than 330 restaurants across the country to raise awareness and funds.

For the month of February, for every campaign-featured burger purchased, Canada Beef will donate the equivalent of one meal to Food Banks Canada, up to a maximum of 20,000 meals (based on Food Banks Canada’s meal metric: $1 = two meals). In addition, provincial beef cattle farmer and rancher organizations and beef partners will also make substantial contributions to their regional food banks with either ground beef or cash donations.

From Feb. 1 – 28, Floyd’s Diner is offering their ‘Rootbeer BBQ Smash Burger’ in Brentwood Bay, Goldstream, Gorge Road and James Bay; Big Wheel is serving their ‘Cheeseburger’ in Langford, Vic West, Cook St. and Saanich; Ferris’ Grill and Garden Patio will be serving their ‘Classic Ferris Cheese Burger,’ and Kahuna in downtown Victoria will serve ‘The Maui’.
