Creatures of the Autumn Night at Swan Lake

Back by popular demand! Join science communicator Kay for an indoor and outdoor exploration of the nocturnal creatures who call Swan Lake home in this early Autumn season.

Adaptations and key features of nocturnal creatures will be our focus during this indoor/outdoor program. Learn about local species in our classroom presentation featuring hands-on time with specimens, then enjoy a short guided walk outdoors at dusk where we hope to see these creatures in the wild. Together we will explore how the shorter days and change in weather affects these animals during this season.
Some steps and sloped gravel trails will be part of the path for this event.

The Nature House will be open from 6:00 PM for participants, and for half-an-hour after the program’s end for further exploration. Our Gift Shop will also be open!
This event is well suited for all ages: families, or adults. Given the content and length of this program, it is best for children aged 5+. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Cost: $10 per adult, $5 per child (up to age 12). Children ages 2 and under are free (and do not need separate registration). 10% off for Swan Lake Members (please log in to your member portal to enroll with this benefit).
