Experience the life of Emily Carr, Victoria’s beloved artist & visit the 15 historic locations in Victoria that backdrop her life story. This three and a half hour bus tour begins with a guided tour of Carr House by their expert staff. After that, we’ll visit her nearby sisters’ houses that are also historic sites, as well as the House of All Sorts, Beacon Hill Park, her father’s store, the Emily Carr Statue, the Crystal Gardens where she gave her first solo exhibition in her own hometown and an important speech in defence of modern art in 1930 and four other historic locations where she painted, sketched and/or wrote about including the Ross Bay Cemetery where she now rests. Our last stop before we head back to where we started is the place where Emily died and reportedly still haunts. Emily Carr Chronicles Bus Tours scheduled for July 25, August 15 & August 25.
