HomeThings to DoFamily Sunday – Art Gallery of Greater Victoria

Family Sunday happens every third Sunday of the month from October – June, and is an afternoon of exploring hands-on art making and ideas for all ages. This recurring program often features special guests such as storytellers, artists, performers or musicians!

Come to the Gallery for a fun-filled and creative Sunday afternoon. Explore connections to the land around us through the works of contemporary artists in the exhibitions A View From Here: Reimagining the AGGV CollectionsLekwungen: A Place to Smoke Herring, and Meryl McMaster: Bloodline.

Wander through the Asian garden to sketch the Garry oak trees, create a butterfly pin to wear, and explore the fascinating shapes and symmetry found in nature to make a one-of-a-kind graphite rubbings as we kick off this school year’s first Family Sunday.

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and Xwsepsum Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
