Wednesday, October 21st, the team at Monkey C Interactive is busting open portals to new dimensions with their 3rd annual Halloween art event, GO MAD at the ARTCADE! This year’s event will showcase never before seen mutant machines, the Orbit City Synthilator and the Pom Trees. Hosted by our intergalactic ambassadors “Beep” and “Boop”, you are invited to journey to worlds beyond and discover “science” gone mad at Victoria’s award-winning interactive art experience.

This year the ARTCADE is also hosting a Costume Competition! Calling all mutants, weirdos, scientists and experiments gone “wrong”. You are invited to compete in our “Best of Weird, Victoria” costume competition, category is “mad” – whatever that means to you.

During GO MAD, entry to the ARTCADE $15 per person (ages 3 and up) – this special fund raising period helps the Artcade stay open through the slower winter months. After Nov 2nd, we will resume our normal $10 minimum slide scale fee. Thank you for your support!

HOW TO ENTER THE ARTCADE COSTUME COMPETITION:

1. Come to the Artcade in a “mad” costume during our GO MAD Halloween event.
2. Pay $15 to enter the Artcade and have a whimsical adventure.
3. Ask one of our scientists to take a photo of yourself and give us a method of contact (we will not sell your info or add you to any lists).
4. A winner will be selected by our esteemed panel of judges and announced by Nov. 7th.
5. The winner gets all the accolades of being adored by the world as well as a super special custom gift from the Artcade. There will be no jump scares, this is not a haunted house. Costumes are welcome but not required for entry into the ARTCADE.

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and Xwsepsum Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
