A classical and jazz performer on clarinet, saxophone, and flute, Mr. Clements has also enjoyed a long career as a conductor, composer, educator and clinician. He was the founding director of jazz programs at the University of Victoria, Camosun College and the Victoria Conservatory of Music. In 2018 he retired as Senior School Director of Concert and Jazz Bands at St. Michaels University School. He has performed on numerous recordings and released eight of his own on the international market. He has shared the stage as a jazz soloist with many of Canada’s top musicians. In classical performance, Mr. Clements is well known for his bass clarinet and saxophone work with the Victoria Symphony. He has been a clinician for Keilwerth Saxophones and Buffet Crampon Clarinets and in 2009 was inducted into the Victoria Music Hall of Fame.
