Learn basic mending skills and/or how to turn old garments or material scraps into something new (“Upcycling”) e.g. old jeans to turn into bags or favourite shirts into a skirt. Were you given a sewing machine and need to learn how to use it? Bring it along.
What to bring: items to be mended or upcycled and any equipment or supplies needed such as a scissors or a sewing machine.
We will provide: 2 sewing machines, an ironing board and iron, pins, needles, buttons, thread, velcro, elastic, a few scissors and old patterns and some cloth. There are outlets if you would like to bring your sewing machine.
