Karen Guilbault is a prolific artist who creates mixed media seascape paintings, as well as art objects made from natural fibers such as pine-needles and felted wool.

SEA OF DREAMS features coastal landscapes in acrylic and oil, as well as a new mini-painting series (5×5”) which include abstract landscape vignettes and bird paintings developed from splashes of abstract paint.

For fibre art lovers, there are pine-needle baskets trimmed with felted wool, Kelp, and lichen. The center is often a stone or clamshell decorated with a painted bird or design. Karen will also show her new felted wool “pods” which hang on the wall to hold dried flowers, which have pine-needle basketry trim.
