The John Moulder Quintet at Hermann’s Jazz Club
The JOHN MOULDER Quintet
Quadwrangle Music is thrilled to be presenting one of the finest and most unique jazz guitarists in North America, John Moulder, to Vancouver Island. John who records with some of the worlds most accomplished jazz musicians, including Pat Metheny’s rhythm section, will be playing with in a Quintet featuring some of Canada’s leading players, Ryan Oliver (saxes.), Nick Peck (piano/keys), Ken Lister (bass) and John Miller (drums).
In the course of his career, John is grateful to have performed nationally and internationally, and played with many talented musicians, both known and unknown. In live performances and recordings, John has performed with diverse artists such as Lyle Mays, Niels Orsted Pederson , Eddie Harris, Bob Mintzer, Paul McCandless, Paul Wertico, Kurt Elling, Arild Anderson and Bendik Hofseth.
From his hometown of Chicago, he has performed with creative musicians too numerous to mention and enjoys collaborating with them on various projects. As an educator, he is currently a faculty member within the jazz studies’ departments at Northwestern University and the College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University/Chicago.
