The Maritime Museum of BC invites you to a special retrospective exhibition of marine paintings by John Horton. This exhibition celebrates Horton’s remarkable career in honour of his 90th birthday.

Running from April 4 to June 1, 2025, this exhibit fills the museum’s entire gallery with works exemplifying Horton’s signature attention to detail and unmatched historical accuracy.

John Horton is a noted marine artist and a founding member of the Canadian Society of Marine Artists. He is also a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Honourable Company of Master Mariners of Canada, the Royal Naval Sailing Association, and a lifeboat commander with the Canadian Lifeboat Institution.
