This popular workshop sold out in April. Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum is pleased to be able to offer a second sitting.

Joan Byers is a member of the Canadian Bookbinders & Book Artists Guild and has been teaching this venerable craft for more than two decades. During the workshop, Ms. Byers will cover the basics of traditional bookbinding and will also discuss more advanced techniques. Participants will make a small, sewn, multi-signature, cloth covered book using methods employed during the Victorian era. Workshop supplies and tools as well as refreshments are included in the $65 fee.

You must book in advance to reserve your space, at https://tinyurl.com/3wu5mxwa. All proceeds support the volunteer-based Ross Bay Villa Society, which owns and operates our restored historic home, built in 1865.

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and the Esquimalt Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
