‘Thelma’ at The Vic Theatre

$13.33 General Admission

Internet scams are running rampant in the age of social media, but this time, they’ve picked the wrong grandma to mess with. The 93-year-old THELMA, played to laugh-out-loud perfection by June Squibb, has just been robbed of $10,000 by fraudsters posing as her loving grandson, Danny. But instead of taking things lying down, Thelma sets out on a quest for justice armed with a stolen revolver and riding a two-person scooter with her nursing home neighbour, Ben (Richard Roundtree of SHAFT fame in his final feature film role). Parker Posey, Clark Gregg and Malcolm McDowell also star.

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and the Esquimalt Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
