Victoria Fringe Festival
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026, the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival is a Vancouver Island tradition that takes over downtown Victoria each summer with an energetic celebration of live performance from around the world. Hosted across multiple venues throughout the city, the festival features an eclectic mix of spoken word, drama, musicals, dance, comedy, magic, and theatre for young audiences. Produced by Intrepid Theatre, the Fringe is one of the longest‑running festivals of its kind in Canada, known for its vibrant atmosphere, community spirit, and commitment to showcasing bold, independent artistic voices.
Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and Xwsepsum Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
