HomeThings to DoVox Humana Chamber Choir presents: Vox in the Stars

Vox in the Stars. Audience and singers come together in the historic Dominion Astrophysical Observatory for a stunning and profound concert featuring celestially-inspired choral music performed under the stars and in the shadow of the Plaskett Telescope.

Music for Vox in the Stars explores themes of astronomy, science, the majesty of the heavens, and our place in the cosmos. This year we will include two very special pieces by Victoria-based composers: Christine Donkin’s evocative ‘Aurora’, featuring Mieka Michaux on viola, and Chris Sivak’s recently-composed ‘Star Light, Star Bright,’ newly arranged by the composer for mixed voices. This annual event is a favourite of Victoria audiences, and tickets go quickly!

Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and Xwsepsum Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
