Uplands Park/Cattle Point

2900 Beach Drive Victoria BC .

Uplands Park/Cattle Point is an undeveloped natural area. The park is home to a Garry Oak meadow, as well as one of the greatest concentrations of rare plant species in Canada. Uplands Park boasts some of the best ocean views in the city. With over 30 hectares of natural area to enjoy, Uplands Park offers many avenues for exploration with trail systems, boat launches, and a war memorial. If you’re in a hurry, a beautiful waterfront drive through the park along Scenic Drive is a great way to take in this delightful region of Victoria.

The park extends to Cattle Point where visitors can walk on the rocks and dip their feet in the water. There is plenty of parking on this side of the park, as it is popular with boaters, amateur astronomers, and people looking for a little privacy in the evening. Spectacular views of the Haro Strait and Mount Baker make Cattle Point a must visit spot on Greater Victoria’s coastline.

To the south of Cattle Point visitors can walk down a steep set of stairs, to a paved esplanade that takes you to Willows Beach, a popular family destination with a playground and concession stand.
