Saanich Parks has a wide variety of parks, trails, and recreational amenities. We have 171 parks that cover 8.2 Km2 (820 Hectares). This represents 8% of the total area of Saanich or about 100 CFL football fields. We have over 100 kilometres of trails-everything from short, leisurely strolls to intense uphill climbs. Saanich is a healthy community with an abundance of trails and walkways for you to enjoy. We have trails that:

Lead to spectacular ocean views
Guide you through mature forests
Provide links to other neighbourhoods
Many trails connect you with the rural and culture heritage of Saanich, bridging the past, present and the future.

Saanich is a great place for a bike ride. Our very own Centennial Trails along with the CRD’s Lochside and Galloping Goose Regional Trail form the spine of a trail network that is growing and improving every year.
