Open Space Contemporary Arts Society

510 Fort ST Victoria BC V8W 1E6

Open Space Arts Society was founded in 1972 as an exhibition and performance centre (it has owned its facility since 1975) to reflect the wide diversity of contemporary art practices in Greater Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada and abroad. As a non-profit artist-run centre Open Space continues to support hybrid and experimental approaches to art making by presenting work by emerging artists and established professionals. Open Space is the largest artist-run centre on Vancouver Island and in the Gulf Islands region. It is a significant venue for building awareness and disseminating artists’ work.
