Throughout the year, Bastion Square plays host to a variety of markets and seasonal events. From April through October, from Wednesday to Sunday, the Summer Market brings local artisans, farmers and food vendors to the square, with handmade goods, fresh produce, baked treats, unique gifts and live music adding to the lively atmosphere.

As the seasons change, so does the square. During the holidays, from November 12th to December 24th, from Thursday to Sunday, twinkling lights and festive market stalls transform Bastion Square for the Winter Market and Christmas Village, where visitors can browse locally made gifts, enjoy seasonal treats and soak up the holiday atmosphere in the heart of downtown Victoria.

Tucked between Government and Wharf streets, the historic pedestrian square is surrounded by local shops, restaurants and businesses, making it an inviting stop while exploring downtown Victoria.
